Description: This 1973 IFR 182P Skylane has had EXTENSIVE MAINTENANCE, has 420 STOP and is priced to sell. N58596 has had significant recent money invested WHERE IT COUNTS (to the tune of 10’s of thousands of dollars - documented) – in mechanical upgrades, maintenance and safety equipment. While this aircraft is cosmetically solid, the real reason to buy this Skylane is that is has been WELL-MAINTAINED. The equipment is top-notch (all King digital) and if you happen to be in the aerial photography business, the aircraft has been fitted in the floor boards with a camera port for survey work, etc. If you’ve been looking at Skylane’s, you probably know the Continental 470 is a great engine, but it is known to go thru cylinders. You can count on replacing cylinders mid-way to TBO on this engine. N58596 is no different from any other Skylane in this respect, but the owner has already made this investment….. And rather than replacing jugs here or there, the owner elected to perform a complete top-end overhaul 420 hours ago. His investment means you won’t have to face the some financial risk as you would in another aircraft that hasn’t seen a new top yet. (Don’t under estimate this investment….This is a $10K proposition).
